Best of 2021 Elopement Photography with The Hearnes. The Hearnes are wedding photographers based in Moab, Utah and traveling to Alaska every summer. They specialize in adventurous elopements in National Parks, on glaciers, in the desert, and giving couples the best possible wedding day experience.

One of our favorite things about incorporating helicopters into Alaska elopement days is how many different landscapes you can see in one day. These two got to land by a glacial waterfall, an icy slot canyon, and then on a high alpine ridge where the tundra was in peak fall colors. After that, we met up with our guide to trek onto the toe of the glacier and have their ceremony on the ice.

Erika and Austin started their morning at a spectacular desert overlook in Zion National Park, followed by some leisurely exploration of a slot canyon, then wrapped up their elopement day running around the soft wavy sand dunes. Such is the versatility and diversity of the Utah landscape!

Reflecting on 2020, what I think we did well and what could have been improved as a small relationship-based business. I decided to use this post to breakdown our 2020 experience, our COVID response, and our wins as well as failures in the year.
