michelle + doug's adventure session at glacier point | 10 year wedding anniversary celebration | yosemite elopement inspiration
We had so much fun getting to know these two! Michelle and Doug met up with us in Yosemite National Park to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary with a quiet, intimate sunrise session at Glacier Point. With an extremely early wake-up call, we met them in the parking lot when it was still dark and made our way out to a little ledge overlooking Half Dome, the waterfalls, and the valley in-between. As always, the sunrise was stunning, coming up being Half Dome and painting the surrounding mountains with colors before hitting the nearby trees and then finally making it’s way to us! As the golden light washed in, Michelle and Doug poured a favorite beer in lieu of champagne (cheers to morning drinks!!) and celebrated 10 years together in the warm morning sun. We ended their session out on a different ledge and took in the 360 views of Yosemite Valley. After walking back to the cars together, they offered us snacks and delicious tea, the perfect treat!!
We often have people comment on our photos something along the lines of “I wish I had know about your adventure photography when I got married!” or “We need to have another wedding just so you can photograph it!” and while an adventurous elopement-style vow renewal is totally an option, you could also consider doing and anniversary adventure session with us :) We love celebrating new love, but there is something so special about celebrating couples who have stuck it through for 5, 10, or 50 years! You can wear casual clothes, formal clothes, or even wedding clothes. The beauty of adventure sessions (and elopements or vow renewals) is everything is up to you!
