Moab Breakfast Restaurants + Coffee Shops

CACTUS JACKS

BREAKFAST & LUNCH • NEW TO TOWN • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • TABLE SERVICE

Cactus Jacks has become out go-to for sit-down breakfast when we have guests or want to meet up with friends in town. The menu is diverse for Moab and has a lot of good options from breakfast tacos to comfort foods like chicken and waffles. The lunch is delicious as well, don’t miss the spicy fried cauliflower!

Más café

COFFEE & PASTRIES • NEW TO TOWN • QUICK STOP

Más Café is owned by a friend of ours and is conveniently located at the base of Sand Flats or on your way to Mill Creek, right across the street from long-time favorite Milt’s. It’s small, best for a quick stop to grab your favorite coffee, but don’t forget to look around at the beautiful inventory and delicious homemade pastries! The sourdough chocolate chip cookies are to die for.

Love Muffin

ORDER AHEAD ONLINE • BREAKFAST & LUNCH • LOCAL FAVORITE

A Moab local’s favorite, Love Muffin is great for breakfast and lunch to-go. They have amazing coffee, service, and their food/pastries menu is to die for. They sell out of food every day during busy season, so come by early for the best selection! I love their quinoa bowls and breakfast burritos. Love Muffin has indoor and outdoor seating, but not much of it. People typically leave their dogs tied up outside. Pro-tip, you can order online and pick up your food when you arrive. This helps skip the line whether you’re planning to grab and go or dine in. I will note, this is not a great place to come work for hours - they’re almost always busy!

Moab Garage Co.

DOG-FRIENDLY OUTDOOR SEATING • ORDER AHEAD ONLINE • BREAKFAST & LUNCH • AMPLE SEATING

Garage Co. is located right on main and is super easy to pop in while walking around town. Their ever-changing avocado toast menu is a ton of fun and always delicious, their burritos are to die for (our friend Cedar + Pines swears by them!) and the cold brew coffee is absolutely amazing. They also have nitro ice cream and various sweets for an afternoon snack. They have ample seating in the back as well as dog-friendly options out front.

Red Rock Bakery

BREAKFAST & LUNCH OPTIONS • WIFI • LOCAL FAVORITE • FRESH BAKED BREAD

Red Rock is one of my personal favorites because it tends to be quieter and more peaceful than some of the other places in town. The fresh baked bagels are delicious and our daughter loves their smoothies! Callen’s go-to is the Bob’s Bagel sandwhich for breakfast or lunch.

Moab Coffee Roasters

DOG-FRIENDLY OUTDOOR SEATING • DELICIOUS COFFEE & TREATS • GOOD WORK SPACE

MCR used to be my tried and true stomping grounds for coffee shop work days before we had a house here! It’s a great place for delicious coffee (try the iced coffee, they use coffee ice cubes so when it melts you get MORE COFFEE!), specialty treats and chocolates, bulk coffee, and pastries. They are newly remodeled and now have more work spaces, outlets, and good WiFi. Be sure to stop by Moab Made next door (more on that below).

Moab Diner

FAST • INEXPENSIVE • NO-FRILLS • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • LARGE MENU • BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER

If you’re looking for something fast, cheap (for Moab), family-friendly, and a step above the chain fast food restaurants, the diner is a great choice for any meal.

Moab Lunch + Dinner Restaurants

98 Center

INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING • BAR MENU/DRINKS • LOCAL FAVORITE • GREAT FOR DATE NIGHT

A delicious and interesting asian-fusion spot with everything from Pho (my favorite) to pork sandwiches. It’s a bit more pricey than your standard cafe, but definitely delicious and is a favorite for visitors and locals alike.

Arches Thai | Bangkok House Too | Thai Bella

GREAT FOR CARRY-OUT & DINE-IN • FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Surprisingly, Moab has a really great Thai food scene! It’s our number one recommendation when people come to town and our go-to carry out after long days when we don’t have the energy to make dinner. I am pretty faithful to my favorite Thai places, but I can honestly say the three above are all very delicious. Arches Thai is our favorite for carry-out because it’s super easy to order online. Thai Bella is best for a nicer dine-in experience. Bangkok House Too is a great option for eating outside with your pup!

Antica Forma

GREAT FOR CARRY-OUT & DINE-IN • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • HUGE MENU & FUN CHOICES

Really delicious wood-fired pizza! This is our other go-to for carry out (we genuinely get Arches Thai & Antica Forma a few times a month). We love the Pizza Primavera, Pitachio (trust us), Funghi, and the classic Antica Forma.

Milt’s Stop & Eat

LONG-TIME FAVORITE • NO-FRILLS • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • LARGE MENU

A classic Moab staple, Milt’s is perfect for burgers + fries after a long hike or bike ride. They’re sometimes packed, but always fast! There is some inside seating, but Milt’s is best enjoyed on the curb, or at a picnic table on their lawn under the giant tree. There is a little play place, so it’s great for kiddos! And dog friendly if your dog is okay with crowds. Pro-tip, order your food and then stroll across the street to Más Café for some coffee while you wait.

Josie Wyatt’s

INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING • GREAT BAR MENU/DRINKS • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • DOG-FRIENDLY

JW’s has become a favorite of ours because it’s never crowded, open year-round, and they keep the menu fresh! It’s a little more expensive than places in town, but the vibe feels a lot more laid-back and peaceful. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating, so it’s a great spot with energetic kids, a dog (on the patio outside), or bigger groups. It’s located inside of a luxury hotel but has a laid-back western vibe.

DESERT BISTRO

INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING • MAKE RESERVATIONS • FINE DINING • DATE NIGHT

This is more of a date night or “night out” kind of spot with fine dining, southwestern flair, and a nice sit-down experience. I recommend making reservations ahead of time and giving yourself plenty of time to really enjoy the entire experience!

The Spoke on Center

INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING • BAR MENU/DRINKS • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • DOG-FRIENDLY

The Spoke is our favorite for a basic dinner spot that won’t be too crazy. The cocktails are delicious and they have a good selection of food that will appease any visitor. I usually get the fish tacos and they’re quite delicious! The burgers are great as well.

The FOOD TRUCK PARK

OUTDOOR SEATING • LOTS OF CHOICES • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • DOG-FRIENDLY

The food truck park is always changing and is a great spot for something quick, lots of choices, or groups who can’t decide on one cuisine. My favorites lately are El Gordo tacos and Red Wok Kitchen. Rainbowls is my favorite for a snack - delicious smoothie bowls, smoothies, and a fun menu of appetizer foods.

GLORIA’S CORNER CAFE

INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING • GREAT MENU • BREAKFAST & LUNCH • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • DOG-FRIENDLY

Gloria’s has become a new favorite for us for breakfast (the smoothie menu is huge!) and lunch. The outdoor patio is great in the nicer months and dog-friendly, but there is also ample seating inside.
